When did I turn into such a libidinous geek? Lately I've caught myself checking out men while walking down the street--something that was always foreign before. Maybe I'm just catching up to the rest of humanity.
The town I work in is much smaller than the town I live in. There aren't that many (decent) places for lunch. So when someplace new opens up, you go. Today was all about an eggplant-red pepper-feta sandwich. I'll eat anything with feta, even if the eggplant is undercooked and chewy. The best part of that hour off? The lovely, lovely man behind the cash register. From Spain. With very little English and a great big grin, green eyes and shaggy hair. Not for me - so not my type - but for Miss Beek, a true find. I called her immediately after leaving the store, giggling like a 17-year-old. She would fall at his feet and worship. Hee hee hee. She tried to convince me to take the digital camera in and pose as a reporter. Um, no. Small town. But now she wants to meet for lunch on Monday.
Guess where she wants to go?
