Things which make me very happy, even at work: ESPN's site, which includes Gamecast! I've been toggling back and forth between the Yankees/Twins and Giants/Marlins most of the day. What, me get some work done? Who says the student payroll needs to be on time so they get paid? Gamecast rocks. I can track the games pitch by pitch, including whether or not a strike was swung at or taken. Now this is a beautiful use of the Internet.
Do other people get food cravings like me? I was just writing an email about a dinner menu for Friday and mentioned feta--and now I MUST have feta with dinner. It's like a sickness. I get other fixations, too. There are two CDs a very kind friend sent me last week - and I can't listen to 'em yet because I'm addicted to moody chick music right now. Liz Phair, Cowboy Junkies, Portishead...they're on constant repeat. I promise, I'll get to the gifted disks eventually. But first I have to listen to PJ Harvey's version of Highway 61 Revisited just one more time.
Tonight I knit and read. Oh, and call back the geologist. And call Miss Beek. And write a menu for a party on Friday. And vacuum. And clean the fish tanks. And wash my sheets...
