Good news and bad news. Good: my yarn came from Elann, and it looks great. I especially recommend the cones of Naturelle. They're huge, cheap, and come in very earthy colors. I ordered Milk and Bark and am very happy with both.
Bad news: due to my own stupidity, my camera is dead. Photos of all this gorgeous fiber will have to wait. Sorry.
On an entirely different note:
There are things about my job that I love and those that I tolerate. The people are loveable. Some of their inhibitions are not. Today I spent 30 minutes trying to convince my supervisor to let me import the data from her enormous Excel spreadsheet into a very simple Access database. We're talking extremely easy stuff.
She won't do it. She, and most of the others I work with, are terrified of Access. Grr. Databases are just an efficient method of organizing data. I'm not asking her to do any more than utilize the entry sheets, queries and reports I'll set up for her. But somehow that's too difficult.
I just don't get it. Why would you not want to take 10 minutes and learn a new skill that will simplify the next two months? The ability to learn is one of the things that makes us human. I don't understand the fear.
