The Great Craft Update In keeping with random photo day, I've uploaded a bunch of current or recently finished craftiness. This is the first of the tiles I installed onto the marine tank. The tank stand was unfinished originally, so I painted it vintage green and did this treatment on the doors. Simple, but I like it. These are the result of a stint doing shibori on silk scarves. Easy peasy, cheap and great gifts. Mom received one for her birthday a few weeks ago. Next time: silk pillows for the bed. Mmm, silk pillows. Quickest scarf ever. Some gorgeously soft, hand-dyed Tabitha yarn from eBay. I sat in the car one hiding from life one day and knit this to completion. It's an extra fast yo lace pattern - which of course is hidden because of my crappy camera. It's stretched a bit from wear and is taller than me. And the current project, quickie Baby Guerin sweater. It's half Noro, half Gedifra on 13s. The Noro is variegated, so there's significant color change through the body. Momma Guerin is as nontraditional as mommas get; so's her baby sweater.
Okay, this is stretching things a bit, but in addition to my poor sleepy, cancer-ridden kitty, you're looking at the throw pillows I sewed/painted to match the racing stripe walls.
